| South Gwinnett Tip-Off Club Mission Statement and Objectives | Last Changed 2005-11-30 | | | | The South Gwinnett High School Tip-Off Club is dedicated to enhancing the men's and women's basketball program at South Gwinnett High School, and to create and support a close relationship between the basketball players, coaches, parents and the community of South Gwinnett. We believe that by providing a positive enviroment for young athletes to develop and maximize their individual basketball skills, they will display the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
It is our goal to provide a forum for qualified players to display their abilities to college scouts by fielding competitive teams that can compete at local, state and national basketball levels.
Our objectives are to:
-
Organize and administer a highly competitive and instructional "off season" basketball program for boys and girls that attend South Gwinnett High School;
-
Provide instructional programs to elementary and middle school aged boys and girls through camps and clinics;
-
Provide an opportunity for athletes to be recognized for individual achievement through financial grants in order to assist in the financial cost of post secondary education;
-
Recognize the accomplishments of each team and individual players at an annual awards banquet;
-
Provide supplemental financial support for the men's and women's basketball programs through fundraising drives, financial contributions and membership dues. | |
